Quinson is a typical village of about 300 inhabitants in Southern Provence, situated at the Gorges du Verdon, between 2 artificial lakes, the Lac du Ste. Croix with the Grand Canyon du Verdon and the Lac d'Esparron. In the village you will find a post office, food shops for the daily supply, a wine cooperative, a bar and several restaurants.
Quinson has recently become famous because of numerous discoveries of prehistorical material and its prehistorical museum, built by Sir Norman Foster. It is the biggest prehistorical museum in Europe and was opened in April 2001.

A countryside with rocky collins and plateaus, wild canyons, corn-, sunflower-, lavender fields, vineyards, olive groves and oak tree woods. In May huge broom- and poppy fields in blossom turn the countrside into gigantic yellow-red carpets. From mid June until the beginning of August lilac and fragrant lavender fields enchant your senses
Besides a number of comfortable leisure spots which our house offers you for relaxation or lounging around, the plentiful and varied nature invites you to unwind while wandering over contemplative paths and enjoying most picturesque views. This area has more sunny days than any other area in France.
